NAROWAL: Five people were killed in a collision between a car and a motorcycle here on Thursday on Motra Badiana Road near Dhillan Cheema village.

According to the Sialkot Rescue 1122 media coordinator, the rescue control room received a call about the accident and a team promptly responded.

The victims were identified as 24-year-old Usman Ali, 19-year-old Gulfam Khan, 22-year-old Hasnat Ali, 25-year-old Adnan Gujjar and 35-year-old Ali Sher, the car driver, who all died on the spot.

Eyewitnesses Abdul Qadoos and Faheem said the speeding car hit the motorcycle from behind. The car then went out of control, hit a tree and overturned.

Rescue 1122 shifted the deceased to Daska THQ Hospital.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed regret over the incident. She extended her heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families and appealed to citizens to follow traffic rules.

According to the police spokesman, there were four people in the car at the time of the accident. Two of them died on the spot, including Ali Sher, who was wanted in several cases at Aguki police station. Two unknown men fled the scene.

The police have registered an FIR. drowns: An eight-year-old child drowned while bathing in MR Link Canal on Thursday.

Reports said Gohar Abbas, son of Nazir Hussain and a resident of Village Shamsa, tehsil Narowal, was bathing in the Marala Ravi Link Canal near Badumalhi town when he suddenly went into deep water and drowned.

Locals attempted to save the child, but were unsuccessful.
