KASUR: Six policemen were injured by villagers when they raided Wan Adhan, in the limits of Pattoki police station, to arrest a drug pusher on Thursday.

Two of the injured cops were referred to Lahore owing to their critical condition.

According to police, following an information a police team headed by SHO Muhammad Amin raided the hideout of Rafique but his neighbours attacked men in uniform with guns, clubs and bricks.

As a result, SHO Amin, head constable Ali Ahmed, constables Sibghatullah, Wajid Ali, Munawar Hussain and Saeed Ahmed sustained injuries.

Amin and Ahmed injured by bullets were referred to Lahore in critical condition while the remaining four injured were admitted to the Pattoki THQ Hospital.

DPO Essa Khan Sukhaira established different teams which arrested four of the suspects.
