KHYBER: Police in Khyber seized 43 kilogrammes of charas in two different places of the district on Thursday.

A statement issued by the DPO office in Shahkas said that police in Bara raided a scrapyard in Meelward area of Akkakhel and seized 36 kilogrammes of charas and also arrested owner of the scrapyard Mohammad Nabi.

It said that further arrested were expected as the police have started interrogation of the arrested person who had been running narcotics business in the garb of a junkyard for several years.

Also in the day, police arrested a pedestrian drug paddler Shamsul Hadi in Bara Bazaar and recovered from his possession seven kgs of charas.
