KARACHI:A suspected robber was shot dead while another was arrested with bullet wounds after an ‘encounter’ on University Road early on Thursday morning, said police.
East-SSP Dr Farrukh Raza said that two suspects looted a person, Niaz, near PSO pump on University Road when a Mobina Town police party reached the spot.
Upon seeing police, the suspects opened fire and in the ensuing exchange of gunfire, one unidentified suspect was gunned down while his accomplice Zahid Hashim was arrested with bullet wounds.
