TAXILA: Four people were killed and one injured in four different incidents in Taxila and Attock on Friday, police and Rescue 1122 sources said.

In the first incident, a speeding dumper hit a motorcyclist on G.T. Road near Wahdat Colony killing him on the spot. His friend riding pillion on the motorcycle was injured in the accident.

The dead and injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Taxila. Separately, in a gloomy incident, a Hong Kong national was shot dead in village Bassiya in the limits of Rango Police station of Hazro. The police sources said Qasim Riaz, 23, a Hong Kong national of Pakistani origin who came on vacation to his native town to see his family.

He was going for some work when unknown assailants hiding there showered him with bullets as a result he died on the spot.

The assailants managed to flee from the scene successfully.

Later, police handed over the body to the family after autopsy at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Hazro.

A 20-year-old man was gunned down by his cousin over some dispute near Chungi Number 7 in the limits of Attock city Police station on Friday.

Police while quoting eye witnesseses said that Muneer Ahmed exchanged hot words with his cousin Jabran Ali who took out his pistol and shot him dead. The assailant managed to escape from the scene successfully.

Later, the Rescue 1122 team shifted the body to District Headquarters Hospital Attock for autopsy.

Moreover, two masked men, riding on a motorcycle shot dead a man in village Nathial in the limits of Pindigheb police station on Friday.
