KARACHI: Many areas of the province, including Karachi, are likely to receive rain /thundershowers on Monday (today), said the Met Office on Sunday.

It said that a new weather system was to enter Sindh late on Sunday night and under its influence Karachi and other districts of the province were likely to get moderate to heavy showers.

A Met Office advisory says rain-wind/thundershower is expected in Mithi, Sanghar, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal, Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jaccoabad and Dadu on Monday and Tuesday with occasional gaps.

On Sunday, as an early effect of the approaching system the city’s maximum temperature and feels-like temperatures surged a little bit.
