LAHORE: A day after the allegedly kidnapped owner of a beverage company safely returned home, a petition was filed in the Lahore High Court on Monday seeking the recovery of a general manager from the same business group, purportedly abducted from Pattoki.

“The detainee/abductee was forcefully and unlawfully abducted along with his laptop and other personal belongings from his residence in Colony Factory of M/s Meezan Beverage, situated at Dina Nath, tehsil Pattoki, District Kasur on July 26 at about 4am by 12 unidentified people,” alleged Danial Afzal Khan, son of Atif Afzal Khan, the abducted GM of the company.

The petitioner, filed the petition through advocate Mian Ali Ashfaq, pleading that the police had not registered an FIR regarding the abduction of his father. He asked the court to order the police to lodge a case and recover his father at the earliest.

Previously, Zulfiqar Ahmad, the CEO of Cola Next, a product of Meezan Beverages, was abducted from Maripur Road in Karachi on July 23. He safely reached his Lahore residence on Sunday.
