KARACHI: The inaugural Techstirr Pvt. Ltd. National Juniors Tennis Championship got underway on Monday here at the DA Creek Club, with the Karachi Tennis Association hosting the event in collaboration with the Pakistan Tennis Federation.

In the Girls Under-18 Singles category, Haya Yousuf edged out Wania Bhagat 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, while Maha Akhter dominated Tahreem Yousuf 6-2, 6-1. Amal Noman Yousuf and Zeenia Hassan also secured wins, beating Ayla Farhan 6-2, 6-2 and Zunaira Zahid 7-6, 6-2, respectively.

In the boys qualifying matches, Ehsan Ali and Karish Kumar recorded flawless 8-0 victories while Azlan Ansari also advanced to the next round as he eased past Hamza Essa Jee 8-2.

In the Under-14 category, Zain Nomi, Yahya Bin Zain, Ehsan Ali and Armaan Ali emerged victorious, while in the Under-12 category, Zohran Sohail, Zayed Ali, Khizer Ayaz, Abdullah Ali and Omer Bin Zeeshan won their matches.
