LAHORE: The Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) has appointed Japanese coach Yuki Naga to train the national team ahead of the Asian Under-18 Baseball Championship.

In a statement released on Tuesday, PFB secretary general Syed Fakhar Ali Shah announced that the championship will take place in Taiwan during the first week of September. The PFB has confirmed its participation in the event.

Fakhar revealed that 22 players have been initially selected for the team, though this number will be trimmed to 18 for the final roster. The players were chosen from various levels including U-12, U-15, national championships, and inter-boards and inter-university competitions.
