Addressing a press conference, he said that complainant Hani Khan had reported to the Darazinda police about one month ago that an unknown person assaulted and killed his young nephew, Shadi Khan, 12, and escaped from the scene.

He said district police officer Nasir Mehmood had formed a three-member investigation team headed by him (DSP Darazinda Muslim Khan) to trace the blind murder case and arrest the accused.

He said on the basis of scientific investigations and use of modern equipment, Darazinda police arrested an accused, Adil Khan in the case.

During investigation, the accused confessed that he strangulated Shadi Khan after assaulting him.

Meanwhile, a young man was killed by his rivals over an old enmity in Mohallah Pir Khaki Shah of Paniyala in the jurisdiction of Nawab Shaheed police station, an official said on Wednesday.
