HARIPUR, March 26: A man was killed and two others sustained injuries when a Haripur-bound van rammed into a stationary tractor-trolley near Khanpur on Sunday.

Police said the van was coming from Rawalpindi. The deceased was identified as Nisar Ahmed, a resident of village Sikandarpur. The injured were admitted to the DHQ hospital.

WOMAN KILLED: A woman was killed when a tonga fell into a ravine on the Hattar road. Eyewitnesses and police said that deceased Parveen Bibi was coming to Haripur city from Nasim Town in the tonga.

While running on the Hattar road its horse went berserk and the tonga stumbled into a ravine.

The woman died on the spot while Tonga driver Abdul Sattar received bruises.

Doctors said the woman received no injury but died of cardiac arrest caused by fear.
