QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove on Sunday said that the development of Gwadar is being hindered under the guise of Baloch nationalism.

In reality, he pointed out, the port city is being developed in collaboration with China.

In a statement, he emphasised that Gwadar belongs to Balochistan and Baloch people, and Pakistan’s progress is linked to the development of Gwadar and Balochistan. He reiterated that no one is taking Gwadar away from them, but instead it is being built with China’s cooperation.

He assured that Pakistan would continue to exist eternally, and negative elements seeking to keep Gwadar and its people underdeveloped would not succeed.

He said that had Gwadar’s development continued over the past 20 years, the people of Gwadar would be living a prosperous life today.
