ISLAMABAD: The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) chamber board meetings concluded in Colombo.

Industrialist and Vice President Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Pakistan Anjum Nisar led a business delegation to Sri Lanka to participate in the meeting, which was held under the chair of SCCI President Jashim Uddin, says a press release.

According to a statement, the Saarc Women Entrepreneurs Council (SCWEC) and Saarc Young Entrepreneurs Council (SYEF) were also held to discuss the council’s activities and initiatives.

On the sideline of board meetings, the three-day South Asia trade fair was held alongside a business conference hosted by the Federation of CCI Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, Saarc Secretary General Golam Sarwar and Jashim Uddin inaugurated the trade fair.

During the panel discussion, speakers focused on investment cooperation and trade facilitation in Saarc member countries and stressed on the importance of collaborative efforts to enhance economic integration among member states.
