WASHINGTON: Only one question was being asked in Washington today [Aug 7]: How much longer will President Nixon remain in office? The answers ranged from a week or 10 days to an indefinite number of months. But there appeared to be no divergence from the view that the President, determined though he may be to carry on the fight to remain in office, has not much longer to go and will either resign or be removed by the Senate. Congressional sources cautioned, however, that it was idle to speculate on how many more days Mr Nixon might have in the White House. The only prudent course, they said, was to anticipate that the impeachment process will take its course. — News agencies
