Fahd Haroon appointed special assistant to PM

ISLAMABAD: Fahd Haroon has been appointed minister of state by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Mr Haroon, who will also be designated as special assistant to prime minister (SAPM), previously served in different positions during the caretaker set-up, the PDM government led by Shehbaz Sharif, and in international and local media houses, including as chairman of the press and electronic media committee of the FPCCI and membership of the Pakistan Broadcasters Association.

He serves on the advisory committees of several educational institutions, and his leadership has been recognised by numerous awards, including the Sitara-i-Imtiaz.
