LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approves seven development schemes worth Rs11 billion.
The 15th meeting of the PDWP was held under the chairmanship of P&D Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan in which development schemes of roads sector approved with an estimated cost of Rs11.775 billion.
The approved schemes are: rehabilitation of PD Khan, Choa Saidan Shah from Chakwal to Choa Bypass (Length 32.25km), Chakwal district, at a cost of Rs2.398 billion; rehabilitation of Jhang Gojra Road at a cost of Rs1.532bn; new road from Dari Mero Ladan to Ghousabad along Link No 1 (Length 30.4km) at a cost of Rs633.986 million; construction of new roads and repair of roads in UCs 57 to 68 Kamalla tehsil and UCs 69 to 85, Pir Mahal tehsil, TT Singh district (length 26km at a cost of Rs416.312 million; rehabilitation of Samundari-Sahiwal Road (length 50.9km) at a cost of Rs2.718bn; dualisation of road from Chunian to Jambier Mor (L-21km), Kasur district, at a cost of Rs2.525bn; and rehabilitation of road from Narowal to Zafarwal, excluding city rehabilitation of road from Narowal to Zafarwal portion (length 25km), Narowal district, at a cost of Rs1.55bn.
