LAHORE: The Punjab government on Saturday issued the transfer and posting of several senior bureaucrats across the province.

According to notifications, Naeem Iqbal Syed, BS-19 managing director of the Cholistan Development Authority in Bahawalpur, was relieved of his duties and directed to report to the Services & General Administration Department (S&GAD), Government of Punjab, for further instructions.

Similarly, Mian Abdul Qadir Shah, BS-19 director general of the Parks & Horticulture Authority in Faisalabad, was transferred and instructed to report to the S&GAD for his next assignment.

Ahmad Raza Butt, a PMS officer in BS-18, additional deputy commissioner (Revenue) in Rahim Yar Khan, was transferred and was required to report to the S&GAD for further orders.School Education Department (SED) Secretary Dr Ehtisham Anwar (PAS/BS-20) was transferred and directed to report to the S&GAD, enabling him to attend National Security & War Course 2024 at National Defence University, Islamabad. He would report to the S&GAD for further orders after the completion of the course.

Kasur Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Arshad was transferred and directed to report to the S&GAD to attend 26th PPG (Public Policy & Governance) course. Kasur Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Rana Musa Tahir was given the additional charge of the post of deputy commissioner in addition to his own duties, for a period of three months or till further orders.

Also, the Punjab government withdrew the transfer orders of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Prisons of Multan Region Mohsin Rafique.

Prisons DIG of Faisalabad Kamran Anjum was transferred and posted as Bahawalpur DIG prison against a vacant post while Superintendent of Sahiwal Central Jail Asad Javed Warriach was transferred, and posted as DG Khan DIG against a vacant post.

Home Department Director General (Monitoring) Kaukab Nazir was transferred and directed to report to the S&GAD for further orders and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Mian Jamil Ahmad was posted as director general (monitoring) of Home Department. OSD Asifur Rehman was posted as director (estate) of Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation against a vacant post.

Population Welfare Department Additional Secretary Ahmed Usman Javaid was transferred, and posted as additional secretary of Home Department vice Adnan Shahzad Khan who was transferred and posted as additional secretary of Population Welfare Department.

Wasif Bashir Khokhar, additional commissioner (revenue) of Gujrat, was transferred and posted as additional secretary of the Higher Education Department against a vacant post while Gujranwala Additional Commissioner (Revenue) Hafiz Ahmad Tariq was assigned the additional charge of the post of additional commissioner (revenue) of Gujrat, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.

Multan Special Judicial Magistrate (Railways) Masood Ahmad was transferred and posted as additional commissioner (revenue) of Rawalpindi against a vacant post.

Jahanzeb, awaiting posting, was posted as chief of section of Planning & Development Board Punjab against a vacant post.

OSD Azeem Shoukat was posted as deputy secretary, Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department, against a vacant post.

Population Welfare Department Deputy Secretary Syed Adil Iftikhar was transferred and directed to report to S&GAD for further orders.

Hafiz Muhammad Salman Tanveer, awaiting posting, was posted as deputy secretary, Population Welfare Department, vice Syed Adil Iftikhar who was transferred while Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department Deputy Secretary Javeria Maqbool was transferred and posted as deputy secretary of Irrigation Department against a vacant post.

OSD Mirza Akhtar Mansoor Baig was posted as deputy secretary, regulations wing of S&GAD against a vacant post. Sonia Kaleem, awaiting posting, was posted as deputy secretary of Higher Education Department against a vacant post and Ahmad Faraaz, awaiting posting, was posted as deputy secretary, Tourism Archaeology & Museum Department, against a vacant post.
