QUETTA: Three people were injured in a bomb blast in Awaran town of Balochistan on Saturday, according to officials.

The explosive device was planted in a motorcycle par­ked in the bazaar area and detonated with a remote control. The apparent target of the blast was a police mobile which was passing through the area, according to the officials. How­ever, it remained safe.

The three injured were pedestrians who were immediately shifted to the district hospital by police.

They were identified as Sakhi Dad, Reh­m­atullah and Abdul Rahim.

Officials said no group has claimed responsibility for the blast so far.

“We are investigating the attack, and a search operation has been laun­ched to trace the attackers,” a police officer said.
