KHUZDAR: Over 80 people have been affected by a gastroenteritis outbreak in the Wadh area of Khuzdar district.

According to officials, more than 80 individuals were admitted to the tehsil hospital over the last two days after falling ill.

The district health officer has taken immediate action in response to the gastroenteritis outbreak in Wadh, dispatching a team of doctors and paramedical staff to the affected areas with essential medicines and drinking water.

The medical team visited the affected village of Khesan Pirai Drakhala in Wadh, providing immediate treatment to patients suffering from gastroenteritis.

“The medical team transferred the affected patients to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Wadh, and also advised residents to boil water and take precautions with their food to prevent further spread of the illness,” the officials said.
