DERA GHAZI KHAN: As many as 24 employees of DG Khan region Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) have been suspended from service on the basis of police’s Special Branch reports on different charges, including bribery and misconduct.

According to the sources, it is for the first time that the senior PHP officer has taken action against such a large number of employees on the source report of the Special Branch.

Sources say that the suspension orders were issued to the employees deployed at different PHP Posts, including Rind Adda, Sakhi Sarwar, Tonomy More, Choti Bala, Mana Bangla, and Adda Hyderabad.

The suspended officials of PHP Rind Adda post include Safdar Asi, Kashif, Tasawwar Abbas, Muhammad Aamir, Yaqub, Shahroz Nawaz, Zahid Hussain, and Akbar Langri.

PHP Sakhi Sarwar post suspended officials include Sub Inspector (SI) Qazi Abdul Rauf (in charge), Mujahid Hussain, Muhammad Nawab, and Ijaz Gohar.

Tonomy More post suspended officials include ASIs Jamshed Iqbal, Muhammad Rashid, and Muhammad Hashim, Asif Mukhtiar, and Abdul Sattar.

Those suspended at PHP Choti Bala post include Abdul Jabbar (SI), ASI Sadiq Hussain and Abdul Jabbar.

Similarly, PHP Mana Bangla and Adda Hyderabad posts suspended officials include SI Ehsanullah (in charge Mana Bangla post), SI Zahid Iqbal (in charge Adda Hyderabad), besides constables Usman Ali and Sabtain Abbas.
