DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three persons killed in separate firing incidents in Dera Ismail Khan and Tank districts on Sunday.

Police sources said that Rafiullah, 32, son of Attaullah of Shah Hasan Khel reported to the Nawab Shaheed police station that he, along with his brother Sufyan, 23, his father Attaullah and Sanaullah, were going to Paniyala on two motorcycles when accused namely Rafiullah and Inayatullah intercepted them at Paniyala-Abdul Khel Road and opened fire, killing Attaullah on the spot After committing the crime, the accused escaped from the scene.

According to police, the accused Raffiullah was reportedly a drug dealer and had doubts that the deceased was a police informer.

Similarly, 3 opponents killed a 24-year-old youth over an old murder enmity near Ondha-Khokhar Khad area.

According to Hathala police’s preliminary investigation, Khadija Bibi wife of Usman, resident of Budh, reported that she, along with her 24-year-old son Ikram and Sister Zakriya Bibi, were going to a medical facility. The accused Ramzan, Sher Zaman and Yousaf approached them on the way and opened fire, killing Ikram on the spot. The accused also took Ikram’s motorcycle with them while fleeing from the scene.

Meanwhile, Tank police found a dead body of a man in the mountains of Azam Abad within the limits of Mulazai police station, a police official said.

He said the dead body was shifted to Amakhel Hospital for postmortem. The postmortem report confirmed that the victim, identified as Sameer of village Karo Khan, district Tank was shot dead.

Police said they were busy in investigating the murder.

WOMEN WEEK: The district administration announced to celebrate ‘Women Week’ from August 12 to 16.

As per schedule issued by the district administration, more than 2,000 saplings would be planted in Dhap-Chabak forest line on August 12, while ‘Meena Bazaar’ would also be organised in the evenings of August 13 and 14. On August 15, national songs would be played at Town Hall.

Similarly, a painting competition would also be held at Town Hall on August 16.

TB CONTROL CENTRE: The assistant commissioner (Headquarters) paid a visit to the TB control centre in District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ).

During the visit, he was accompanied by the district health officer (DHO) and other officials concerned.

The assistant commissioner reviewed the facilities being provided to the patients at the TB centre and direct the centre’s in charge to leave no stone unturned in the patients’ care.
