According to officials, intermittent light rain/drizzle started during the night between Saturday and Sunday and continued the next day.

The minimum and maximum temperature dropped to 27.5 degrees Celsius and 30.5, respectively, from 28.5 and 31.5 reported a day earlier.

“This weather pattern is expected to continue in lower Sindh till Aug 17. Another monsoon spell is likely to enter the country from Aug 18 onwards depending upon the wind conditions during that period,” Chief Meteorologist Dr Sardar Sarfaraz said.

According to the daily advisory, weather is likely to be mostly cloudy with chances of drizzle/light rain during the next two days in the city. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 30 and 33.

Meanwhile, Abdul Raheem, 18, suffered an electric shock and died on a street near Eidgah within the jurisdiction of the Ittehad Town police station.

An Edhi spokesperson said that the incident was related to rain. The body was shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.
