LAHORE: Two women were allegedly murdered in separate incidents in Cantonment area here on Monday.

In the first incident, according to police, a woman, Ambreen, was allegedly strangulated at her in-laws’ house in the jurisdiction of Defence C Police Station.

On being informed of the incident, the police arrived at the spot and shifted the woman’s body to the city morgue for autopsy.

The deceased woman’s brother, Mohsin, suspected that she might have been murdered over some family dispute with her in-laws.

The Defence C police registered a case on the complaint of Mohsin and started investigations.

In the other incident, a woman, Nabila, was found dead at her home under mysterious circumstances in the jurisdiction of Factory Area police.

The father of the deceased woman alleged that she was killed by unknown persons and the police registered a case, after sending her body to the city morgue for autopsy.
