LAHORE: In a major reshuffle in Punjab bureaucracy, the government on Monday issued transfer and posting orders of six provincial secretaries and five deputy commissioners (DCs).

Explaining reasons behind the major reshuffle, a senior official told Dawn that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz wanted to form her own team instead of relying on the officials appointed by the caretaker setup in the province.

Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Ali Jan Khan was granted four months earned leave with immediate effect. He was directed to report to Services & General Administration Department (S&GAD) for further orders after expiry of leave. He is also relieved of the additional charge of the post of secretary of Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department.

Planning & Development Board Chief of Section Dr Nasir Iqbal Malik was transferred and directed to report to S&GAD for further orders. South Punjab Agriculture Department Secretary Saqib Ali Ateel was transferred and posted as secretary of Livestock & Dairy Development Department, vice Muhammad Masood Anwar, who was transferred and posted as chief of section, Planning & Development Board. The post of secretary, L&DD Department, will remain upgraded from BS-20 to BS-21 as personal to Mr. Saqib Ali Ateel and as long as it is held by him.

Azmat Mahmud Khan, awaiting posting, was posted as secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department against a vacant post.

Social Welfare & Baitul Maal Department Secretary Iqbal Hussain was transferred and directed to report to S&GAD to attend 121st National Management Course (NMC).

Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Javed Akhtar Mahmood was posted as secretary pf Social Welfare & Baitul Maal Department.

S&GAD (Archives & Libraries Wing) Secretary Zahoor Hussain was transferred and posted as member (Judicial-III), Board of Revenue, Punjab, under Section 9 of PCS Act, 1974, against a vacant post.

OSD Muhammad Khan Ranjha was posted as secretary of (Archives & Libraries Wing) of S&GAD, awaiting posting Muhammad Jahanzeb was posted as commissioner of Sargodha Division vice Ajmal Bhatti who was directed to report S&GAD for further orders.

School Education Department (SED) Special Secretary Khalid

Nazir was assigned the additional charge of the post of SED secretary in addition to his own duties, till further orders.

OSD Shozeb Saeed was posted as director general, Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority, under Section 9 of PCS Act, 1974, against a newly-created post.

Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI) Commissioner Nadia Saquib was transferred and posted as secretary of Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department, under Section 9 of PCS Act, 1974, vice Ali Jan Khan proceeded on leave.

OSD Muhammad Ali was posted as PESSI commissioner under Section 9 of PCS Act, 1974.

Meanwhile, Sargodha DC retired Capt Aurangzaib Haider Khan was transferred and posted as Kasur DC against a vacant post, relieving Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Rana Musa Tahir of additional charge of the post.

S&GAD Additional Secretary (Welfare) Retired Capt. Muhammad Waseem was transferred and posted as Sargodha DC.

Communication & Works Department Additional Secretary Syed Musa Raza was transferred and posted as Lahore DC vice Rafia Haider who was transferred and directed to report to S&GAD to proceed on 41st mid-career management course (MCMC).

Faisalabad DC Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh was transferred and posted as additional secretary of Communication & Works Department.

S&GAD Additional Secretary (Admin.) Retired Capt. Nadeem Nasir was transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Faisalabad.

Rajanpur Deputy Commissioner Mansoor Ahmad Khan was transferred and directed to report to S&GAD to proceed on 41st MCMC.

Board of Revenue Punjab Secretary (Revenue) Shafqat-Ullah Mushtaq was transferred and posted as Rajanpur DC, vice Mansoor Ahmad Khan who was transferred.

Khushab DC Zeeshan Shabbir Rana was transferred and directed to report to S&GAD for further orders. South Punjab SED Additional Secretary Sarosh Fatima Shirazi was transferred and posted as Khushab DC.
