KARACHI: A young man, who was allegedly involved in three murder cases in Larkana and reportedly hiding in Karachi, was gunned down in the Korangi area on Tuesday, police said.

They added that 32-year-old Abdul Razzak was killed near Singar Chowrangi.

Awami Colony SHO Nasir Mehmood told Dawn that there were two FIRs registered against Razzak in his native place in Bakrani area of Larkana pertaining to three murders. The relatives told the police that they suspected that he was killed in ‘revenge.’

The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

The relatives told the media that Razzak had come to Karachi and was working here as a labourer because of a ‘tribal feud’ between his tribe, Panhwar, and the Sangi in Larkana. They suspected involvement of the members of the Sangi tribe in the murder. He was father of one child.

The investigators collected one spent bullet casing that was fired from 9mm pistol from the crime scene.
