KARACHI: Weather in the city is likely to remain mostly cloudy with chances of light rain on Wednesday (today) and Thursday, the Met office said.

The maximum temperature recorded in the city on Tuesday was 34.1 degrees Celsius.

The Met Office forecasts wind-thunderstorm/rain in Karachi, along with other areas, during the period between Aug 16 and 19 under the influence of monsoon currents penetrating into eastern Sindh.

“Wind-thunderstorm/rain with a few heavy falls is likely in Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Dadu, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal, Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Larkana, Kambar Shahdadkot, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Matiari, Hyderabad, Tando Allah Yar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar and Karachi during August 16-19,” it said.

The Met Office said that the city’s maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain between the range of 31°C and 33°C.
