KARACHI: MSCI, a provider of global indices for passive investments, on Tuesday announced the addition of Sazgar Engineering Works Ltd (SAZEW) to its FM Standard Pakistan Index.

According to Topline Securities, MSCI in its August review also added six more companies to the small-cap index. These include Atlas Battery Ltd, Ghandhara Automobiles Ltd, Habib Sugar Mills Ltd, Lotte Chemical Pakistan Ltd, Octopus Digital Ltd, and Soneri Bank Ltd.

Hascol Petroleum Ltd and SAZEW were deleted.

According to Arif Habib Ltd, these changes would take effect from close on August 30.
