SWABI: 2 picnickers drown in canal

SWABI, March 28: Two picnickers drowned in a canal and a girl reportedly committed suicide in different areas of the district on Tuesday. The two men had gone for a picnic to the Pehur Canal. When one of them slipped, the other jumped into the canal to rescue him but both drowned.

The victims were identified as Raheel Khan and Zarwali Khan.

Their bodies were taken out by local divers.

GIRL COMMITS SUICIDE: In the other incident, a girl reportedly shot herself with a pistol in the Bamkhel area.

The girl’s name could not be ascertained.

The motive behind the suicide was said to be a domestic dispute.
