ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Ehsanul Haq Bajwa has urged the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) to intensify efforts to safeguard workers’ interests.

During a visit to the EOBI headquarters on Monday, Mr Bajwa received a comprehensive briefing on the institution’s operations by Deputy Director General Mohammad Amin.

The briefing covered EOBI’s key functions, highlighting its role in providing pension benefits and social security to employees.

It included details of the recent initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and outreach of EOBI’s services.

Following the briefing, the parliamentary secretary commended the EOBI’s efforts in safeguarding the welfare of workers and emphasised the importance of continued support and development for the institution to better serve its beneficiaries.

The meeting also discussed plans to further improve and expand the institution’s performance in the future, reinforcing the government’s commitment to ensuring robust social security systems for all employees.
