RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Aamir Khattak on Tuesday said the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) will issue revised bills to customers in the next two days and those who have already paid their bill will have their bills adjusted next month.

According to a press release, while presiding over the meeting, Mr Khattak said the Punjab government has given a relief of Rs14 per unit to people of the province and Islamabad who consumed electricity from 201 to 500 units in the months of August and September.

The amount between the actual cost of electricity and the relief will be paid by the Punjab government.

Mr Khattak said official letters have been sent to the electricity companies in this regard.

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, letters have been sent to Discos in Islamabad (Iesco), Lahore (Lesco), Gujranwala (Gepco), Faisalabad (Fesco) and Multan (Mepco) to reduce the electricity bills of citizens using 201 to 500 units.
