PESHAWAR: Prof Qaisar Ali, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, has been elected as Vice-Chairman of Pakistan Engineering Council, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to unofficial results of PEC elections (2024-27), Dr Ali is the first vice-chancellor of a university to achieve this position in the PEC elections, according to the statement issued here the other day.

He secured the victory with a significant mandate.

The elections took place on Aug 18 under the auspices of PEC.
