NAROWAL: Two girls were subjected to rape in separate incidents in Shakargarh on Wednesday.

In the first incident, complainant ‘T’ of Mohallah Afzalpura told the police that his wife and 16-year-old daughter went for shopping. He said his wife was busy in shopping when his daughter suddenly disappeared while standing outside the shop. He said after a few hours he learnt that his daughter is near village Jamwal.

The complainant quoted his daughter as saying that three youths took her to Jamwal village on a motorcycle and allegedly gang-raped her in a house. The suspects managed their escape.

Shakargarh Saddar police have registered a first information report against three suspects on the complaint of father of the victim.

According to family sources, the treatment of the victim is going on in Shakargarh Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

In another incident, an 18-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted at village Sangran.

Complainant ‘N’ told the police that she was working in fields with her husband and her 18-year-old daughter was alone at home. She said a local jumped over the outer wall of the house and sexually assaulted her daughter.

Shakargarh Saddar police have registered a case against the youth and are conducting raids for the arrest of the suspect.
