TAXILA: A man stabbed his sister-in-law to death over a domestic dispute in Jameelabad area in the limits of Taxila police station on Wednesday, police and hospital sources said.

Police, while quoting the family of the victim, said that Amir Khan reportedly had an argument with his sister-in-law, Irum Bibi, before attacking her with a kitchen knife in a fit of rage.

The suspect managed to escape from the scene successfully. According to a preliminary medical examination, the woman sustained 17 wounds which led to her tragic death.

In another incident, a man lost his life while his wife received critical injuries in a collision with a tractor trolley on the Mianwala- Bassal road in the limits of the Pindigheb police station on Wednesday.

According to police sources, Mohammad Akbar was was riding a motorcycle with his wife when he attempted to overtake a truck and collided head-on with the oncoming tractor trolley. Akbar died at the scene, while his wife was critically injured.

The injured and deceased were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Pindigheb.

Respective police registered two separate cases and launched further investigation.

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old boy was allegedly molested in the limits of Bassal of Attock district on Wednesday, police sources said.
