APROPOS a news item headlined “Eight siblings, guest die after eating ‘poisonous’ food in Khairpur” published in Dawn on Aug 20, our Sukkur correspondent has clarified that the victims were taken to different health facilities, including Civil Hospital, and not the Kingri Taluka Hospital as reported earlier. The District Health Officer Khairpur has also clarified that the duty doctors and other staff were present at the Kingri taluka hospital but no patient of food poisoning reported at the health facility from Haibat Khan Brohi village on Aug 17 and 18. The error is regretted.
