RAWALPINDI: District administration has announced plans to establish 10 Sahulat Bazaars across the garrison city to provide vegetables at reduced prices to residents.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema told Dawn that three bazaars are established at Shamsabad, Chur Chaki and Haideri Chowk while the sites of seven more Sahulat Bazaars will be finalised within the next few days.
Mr Cheema explained that these these bazaars would provide vegetables to the people at reasonable rates.
He said that Punjab government made clear directions to the administration to provide maximum facilities to the residents.
He said that the wholesalers would establish their stalls without any fee and sell the vegetables on wholesale rates.
The basic aim of this initiative is to alleviate inflation.
