MUZAFFARGARH: A mournful atmosphere engulfed Budh village as the body of police constable Abdullah Bin Mazhar, killed in the Katcha area ambush in Rahim Yar Khan, arrived on Friday evening.

Funeral prayers for Abdullah were held at the police lines, attended by a large number of people, including lawyers, journalists, police officers and politicians. After the prayers, his body was sent to his native village Budh.

Abdullah, who was married just last year, leaves behind a young daughter.

Videos of Abdullah and his fellow officials, recorded shortly before their ambush, were shared on social media. The videos show them sitting by their vehicle, which had either broken down or gotten stuck in the mud, discussing the possibility of their martyrdom and making TikTok videos.

As the evening drew on, a large number of people stood outside his residence, and after being given a police protocol, Abdullah was laid to rest.
