OKARA: Cantt police claimed on Saturday to have arrested a man who allegedly killed his brother after an exchange of hot words at village 10/4L.

As per the first information report, Ayub alias Boota Masih and his brother Amir Masih got into a scuffle at their home. Amir allegedly snatched a weapon from Boota and shot him multiple times, killing him on the spot. He then fled the scene as villagers arrived.

On the report of their widowed mother Francis Masih, the Cantt police registered a case against Amir under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The Cantt police claimed to have arrested Amir within a few hours of the incident.
