KARACHI: In view of the forecast of heavy rains in Sindh under the influence of a weather system that has intensified into a ‘depression’ over Rajasthan, the Met department has advised fishermen to remain careful and take necessary precautions from Monday (today) to Saturday.

“Sea conditions are likely to be rough to very rough. Fishermen are advised to remain careful during the forecast period,” said the Met advisory.

According to the advisory, strong monsoon currents are likely to enter eastern Sindh on Monday morning. As a result, rain/wind-thunderstorms are likely in most districts of Sindh till August 31.

“Wind-thunderstorm/rain with scattered heavy to isolated very heavy falls are likely to occur in Karachi division during Aug 27 to August 31 with occasional gaps,” it said.

For Monday (today), the Met Office forecast warm, humid and mostly cloudy weather in the city with chances of rain/drizzle at evening or night.
