LAHORE: Lahorites will get their residential maps approved from Lahore Development Authority (LDA) online, says Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

She said on Monday that LDA had started online approval of residential building plans, for which citizens could apply either via LDA mobile app or by visiting LDA website (www.lda.gop.pk).

“Citizens will not have to visit LDA office and wait in long queues to get their residential building plans approved. Request for map approval, map upload, processing and challan will all be online,” she said and added the correction in case of objection would also be uploaded and the approved map be downloaded.

The CM said digital reforms in LDA were going on a fast pace and the institutions across Punjab were being digitised on modern lines to get rid of ‘file culture’ in government departments. She also underscored IT-based reforms to rid the citizens of agent mafia and corruption.

The CM also presided over a price control meeting on Monday after her return to Lahore from Murree where she spent a few days.

“I will not allow roti to be sold above the fixed price in any city,” she said.

She reviewed food prices, especially the rates of roti and flour, separately in each district.
