RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi on Wednesday caught four students cheating in the Mathematics paper for the science and arts groups of the 10th grade second annual examination.
According to BISE Rawalpindi spokesman Arslan Cheema, one candidate was caught red-handed in the examination centre at Government Graduate College Asghar Mall, two candidates in Government High School Chak Beli Khan and a candidate in Government Islamia High School No. 4 Liaquat Road.
An unfair means case was registered against the four candidates, and forwarded to the discipline branch. Mr Cheema emphasised that by adopting a strict strategy against cheating, BISE aims to provide a better environment for students.
He said BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Mohammad Adnan Khan visited Government Graduate College Asghar Mall, Government Islamia High School No. 4 Liaquat Road andGovernment High School DAV College Road. During the visits, he examined the CCTV cameras, security arrangements and attendance of the examination staff.
Speaking after the visit, Mr Khan reiterated the BISE’s commitment to the zero tolerance policy, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. He said the violation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) would result in strict disciplinary action and FIR against those involved.
BISE Rawalpindi Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan visited the Government Jamia High School Dhok Kashmirian,
Government Associate College For Women Dhoke Kala Khan, Government Islamia High School No. 4 Liaquat Road, Govt M. C. Boys Higher Secondary School Gujar Khan and Government Associate College for Women Gujar Khan.
During the inspections, he found that in charge examination centre at Govt Associate College for Women Dhoke Kala Khan and Government Associate College for Women Gujar Khan had violated the SOPs. They were subsequently removed from the examination duty.
