NTS glitch

Published August 29, 2024

THE National Testing Service (NTS) biannually conducts the graduate ass- essment test in General and Subject categories. Almost thousands of students apply for these tests, as it is a mandatory requirement to pass for MPhil, PhD and employment purposes. Recently, several candidates faced technical errors of invalid invoice number while paying the fee online.

As such, one of the candidates had been unable to pay the fee during the day, and when he tried to pay it online in the evening, the invoice number he had actually generated earlier on the NTS portal appeared as invalid. There were four other friends who struggled because their respective bank applications (apps) failed to acknowledge the entered invoice number.

Unfortunately, owing to invalid 1Link 1Bill consumer number, several candidates failed to apply for the test. Hence, the relevant authorities should regenerate the challans/links and extend the deadline as well. Also, the NTS helpline number should be made functional to facilitate the students facing technical problems. Currently, the helpline is of no help at all.
