QUETTA: The Pakistan Single Window (PSW), in collaboration with CARE Pakistan, organised the Khadijah Women Entreprene­u­rship Programme in Quetta which bro­ught together more than 60 wo­men traders and entrepreneurs from Quetta and surrounding areas.

While speaking on the ocassion, Adil Sheraz, the country director of CARE Pakistan, said: “We are excited for this new initiative with PSW to enhance the financial well-being of women entrepreneurs in Pakistan.”

The programme featured Mehwish Kanwal Janjua, the president of Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Quetta, as a keynote speaker.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Janjua praised the initiative, saying, “The Khadijah programme’s emphasis on gender and women economic justice is commendable.”

“From the women chamber’s perspective we are committed to making our best efforts for a more inclusive and equitable economic landscape that allows women to enter the competitive export markets and achieve economic empowerment and independence.”
