NAWABSHAH: Seven students of a primary school were injured when the roof plaster of their classroom fell on them in Reham Malokani village, near Tando Adam town of Sanghar district, on Saturday.

The injured were students of class-1 and 2. They were taken to the basic health unit (BHU) in the nearby Pir Faqeer Shoro village. They were provided first aid. Parents of some of the injured students told journalists at the BHU that the schoolbuilding had been in a poor condition for long and it started crumbling after the recent rains.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Imranul Hasan Khuwaja has formed a three-member committee, comprising Superintending Engineer of Works and Services Sarwar Kaimkhani (head), Assistant Commissioner of Tando Adam Tariq Husnain Shahani and Engineer Amanullah Kolachi, to inspect the building and submit a report within the next 12 hours.
