NAROWAL: A farmer was injured in an attack by a jackal at village Murali in the suburbs of Narowal.

Ali Hussain (65) was working in the fields when he was attacked by the wild animal.

District Emergency Officer Naeem Akhtar said when they received a call that a farmer working was attacked by a jackal, an ambulance was immediately sent to the spot. He said that Rescue 1122 has shifted Naeem to the District Headquarters Hospital Narowal after providing him with first aid.

The emergency officer said a phone call was received about the presence of monkeys in Ghaziwal Colony of Narowal. He said the rescue team went to the spot and tried to catch the monkeys but in vain.
