GUJAR KHAN: Another bus fell into a ravine on Kahuta-Azad Pattan road early on Saturday morning, resulting in injuries to eight passengers. The accident occurred at Bharratian Mor, about 18 km from Kahuta.

The bus was going to Hajeera in Azad Kashmir from Lahore. According to Kahuta police, the bus (LZJ-7542) skidded off the road while negotiating a turn at Bharratian Mor at 4:30am.

The police said Rescue 1122 and traffic police reached the spot and rescued the passengers. There were 13 passengers in the bus and eight of them sustained minor injuries.

According to local sources, it was raining in the area when the bus skidded off the road after hitting a crash barrier.

About the validity of the fitness certificate and route permit of the bus, Khurram Faiz, a senior traffic officer, said these documents were checked and found valid and copies were available with the traffic police.
