HARIPUR: A man was found dead in the limits of Dheenda union council here on Monday.

Police said the people spotted the body near the graveyard in Meelam village and reported them.

They said they seized the body and shifted it to the trauma centre, where the deceased was identified as Tahir Khan, a 35-year-old resident of Bhera village.

The deceased’s mother, Akhtar Bibi, told police that her son worked in a government institution and was on leave.

She insisted that her son attended to his nephew at the district headquarters hospital on Sept 1 and was found dead in the cemetery the next morning.

The woman didn’t name anyone in the FIR, insisting her family has no enmity.
