BADIN: A 40-year-old man, Shafi Jamali, drowned in a deep pond of rainwater near Ghanwar Khan Jamali village of Talhar taluka on Monday, a day after another man, Foto Bheel, met the same fate after falling into a rainwater pond in Khoski town of Badin district.

Jamali, father of five, had gone to farmland after breakfast as per his daily routine but did not return home in the evening. His family and relatives mounted a search and found him drowned in a rainwater pond near the village. The Talhar police brought his body to the area’s rural health centre for legal formalities.

Foto Bheel’s floating body was spotted by local residents, who conveyed the information to the Khoski police.

The police took the body to Khoski’s rural health centre for identification and legal formalities.
