MIRPURKHAS: Eight students suffered varying degrees of head injuries in a government primary school in Tando Adam, Sanghar district, on Monday when a large portion of concrete roof plaster collapsed on them in a classroom.

The injured were immediately rushed to Tando Adam taluka hospital where they were provided treatment.

Sanghar deputy commissioner set up a three-member committee to probe the incident and submit to him a report at the earliest.

Sources said that the already dilapidated school building got weakened further in the wake of heavy rainfall, which caused seepage and led to roofs’ plaster to come off.
