LAHORE: The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) of Lahore and Multan on Wednesday announced the result of the Intermediate Part-II annual examination 2024.

In BISE Lahore, 190,218 candidates appeared for the exam, of which 114,985 passed and 75,000 failed.

Up to 49,234 pre-medical candidates appeared, of which 38,198 passed; 12,950 appeared in pre-engineering, of which 9,528 passed, with a passing percentage of 73.58.

In Humanities, 63,573 candidates appeared, of which 29,172 passed, with a passing percentage of 45.89. In General Science, 49,193 candidates appeared, and 28,506 passed, with a passing percentage of 57.95%. In Commerce, 15,268 candidates appeared, and 9,581 passed, with a passing percentage of 62.75.

It is worth noting that approximately 75,000 students failed the exam this year.

In Multan, 79,489 candidates appeared for the exam, of which 50,490 passed. The overall pass percentage was 63.52.

In the pre-medical group, 29,289 candidates appeared, of which 24,270 passed. In the pre-engineering group, 5,724 candidates appeared, with 4,363 passing. In the General Science group, 18,158 candidates appeared, and 9,792 passed.

In the Commerce group, 2,361 candidates appeared, of which 1,407 passed. In the Home Economics group, 37 female students appeared, with 30 passing. In the Arts group, 23,920 candidates appeared, with 10,628 passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 44.43.

Both boards also announced the schedule for the rechecking of Intermediate exam papers, and applications can be submitted until Sept 19.

Candidates can submit their applications online through the board’s website. After submitting the application, candidates will be called to the board office via SMS, where their papers will be shown to them on the designated date.

A ceremony was held to honour the students who achieved top positions in the first annual Intermediate exam of 2024. Member of the Provincial Assembly Salman Naeem and Commissioner Maryam Khan both congratulated the students and their parents, saying that top-performing students will receive full support at every level.

Ms Khan distributed laptops to the students who secured the first position, along with medals and prizes to all the position holders.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated the position holders of Intermediate examinations across Punjab. She also expressed best wishes for all successful students of the Intermediate exams.

“We are proud of you, our children, and the whole nation prays for your success,” she said.

BAHAWALPAUR: The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education across Punjab announced the fina results of Intermediate Part-II on Wednesday. In Bahawalpur, out of 57,660 candidates, 34,689 passed, marking a success rate of 60.16%.

TOBA TEK SINGH: The Faisalabad BISE saw a total of 103,269 candidates appear for the exam, of which 74,154 passed, achieving a success rate of 71.82%.

SAHIWAL: A total of 45,519 students appeared for the exam, with 25,177 passing.

SARGODHA: Out of 53,507 candidates who submitted admission forms, 52,475 participated in the exam. Of these, 35,656 students passed, resulting in a success rate of 67.97%.

DERA GHAZI KHAN: In Dera Ghazi Khan, 60,539 students participated in the exam.
