DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A Pesco employee was electrocuted while repairing an electric fault here the other day.

According to a Rescue 1122 official, Saifullah had climbed an electric pole to fix a fault in Muslim Bazaar area to restore power supply. He accidentally touched a live wire and died on the spot. The rescue 1122 medical team rushed to the scene and shifted the body to hospital.

JOURNALIST PASSES AWAY: A senior journalist and president of the Regional Newspaper Owners Association, Chaudhry Mohammad Asghar, passed away here the other day.

His funeral prayers were offered here attended by people in large numbers including journalists, lawyers, family members and friends. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard.

It should be noted that the deceased had published daily, monthly and weekly newspapers from Dera Ismail Khan and had a prominent position in the local journalistic circles.
